HSK Structure

Arabic For Non-Arabic Speaker (AFNAS)

Our Arabic For Non-Arabic Speaker (AFNAS) programme welcomes all students who wish to master Arabic. It progresses through four comprehensive levels, each building systematically on previous foundations.

Beginner Level

ADVANCE 2	Students will encompass the Arabic rhetoric science.
ADVANCE 3	Students will have the capability to write essays and articles using their own expressions.
ADVANCE 4	Students will be able to give lectures and oral explanation for sophisticated texts.
ADVANCE 5	Students will be capable of understanding Quran and Hadith language.
ADVANCE 6	Students will learn the skill of elaborating Quran and Hadith in Arabic.

Huanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (Chinese Proficiency Test)

As part of its Passport to the World Programme, we introduce Huanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) or Chinese Proficiency Test for its Mandarin curriculum. HSK is the standardized test of standard Chinese language proficiency for non-native speakers.

In Abedeen International School, HSK is already embedded in its curriculum and is a compulsory subject for each student to learn.

HSK Level	Vocabulary	Description
I	150	Students can understand and use very simple Chinese words and phrases, meet basic needs for communication.
II	300	Students have an excellent grasp of basic Chinese and can communicate in simple and routine tasks.
III	600	Students can communicate in Chinese at a basic level in their daily, academic and professional lives.
IV	1,200	Students can converse in Chinese on a wide range of topics and are able to communicate fluently with native Chinese speakers.
V	2,500	Students can read Chinese newspapers and magazines, enjoy Chinese films and plays, and give a full-length speech in Chinese.
VI	5,000+	Students can easily comprehend written and spoken information in Chinese and can effectively express themselves in Chinese.
